Native Sons & Daughters of Jacksonville gathered at the narrow lanes of Mandarin once again for a ghoulishly delightful evening of costumes, food, and bowling. Our annual Costume Bowling event is always a fang-tastically fun time for the kids, and a relaxing night for parents listening to the sounds of happy children.

Make no bones about it, bowling scotch doubles evens the chances of winning for all bowlers. This year we had a top 3 finish going to one of our newest members, a 5-year-old girl from the Cayuga tribe. There were about 15 families that got close to 200 and a few that blew right past it. Evidently, attending our summer bowling events can really help improve your scores.

Trophies were awarded this year for top 3 kids in the following categories:
• Best overall costume
• Scariest costume
• Highest bowling score (2-game combined)
