SUMMARY:Holiday Skate and Toy Drive
DESCRIPTION:Big How Timucuan Federation: \nOut of an abundance of caution the Fed Council has decided that the safest course of action is to cancel the skating portion of the Holiday Skating event but continue to hold the Toys for Tots toy drive. \nWith all of the ongoing COVID issues in the greater Jacksonville area Toys for Tots needs our help more than ever. On December 6 Storm Cloud and Red Bear will be in the parking lot of the Skate Station at 3461 Kori Rd Jacksonville FL 32257 between 3 and 5 PM to collect your new unwrapped toys. In order to minimize the number of people that are there at any given time we are asking that the boys drop off their donations between 3 and 4 PM and the girls drop off their donations between 4 and 5 PM. As an added incentive to donate each member who makes a donation will be rewarded with a community service credit towards their 2020-2021 OWB award.

SUMMARY:Spring Longhouse 2021
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: \nLonghouse agenda available to download now\nCampsite assignments available to download now\n\nThis unprecedented long\, dark winter appears to be finally coming to an end. Our sons & daughters have been dreaming of this time since we were forced into hiding over a year ago. As our program emerges from hibernation like a hungry and sleepy bear\, our families will gather at one of our favorite places for a weekend of traditional NSD family fun. \nThe Apache\, Algonquin\, and Sioux Nation Chiefs would like to invite all boys and girls tribes to come together once again at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park for a fun-filled Longhouse weekend. As with all Spring Longhouses\, this weekend will have a Sacred Fire with a Broken Arrow Ceremony. If your child will be breaking arrow\, please email your Nation Chief and the Medicine Man. \nWe will be camping at the lake area\, featuring a newly remodeled bathhouse. We will have all of the family-favorite war games like BB Guns\, Archery\, Egg Toss\, and Critter Race. We’ll also be pitting tribes against each other with skit performances \, a first for most boy tribes. Expecting beautiful spring weather\, we’ll set up the water slide into the cool Suwannee River. \nRegistration is now open! \n$35 per person for tent camping. $40 per person for RV camping.\n
