DESCRIPTION:Calling all Pathfinders\, this is Chief Tomahawk and I am ready to kick off the Native Sons and Daughters 2018/2019 year. The heat of the summer is beginning to beat down on us. I cannot think of a better way to beat the heat than floating on Ichetucknee Springs. Bring your bathing suit\, towel\, sunscreen\, bug spray and your tube for this adventure. We will need to be ready to set out on the water at 8:00am in order to complete the entire spring trail. \nPricing: \n$6.00 per vehicle with 2-8 occupants.\n$4.00 per vehicle with a single occupant. \nDirections: \nIchetucknee Springs State Park is located four miles Northwest of Fort White\, off State Road 47 and 238. SUMMARY:Suwannee Canoe Trip
DESCRIPTION:A trip you won’t soon forget. An intimate group of all Timucuan tribes float and paddle leisurely (can’t stress leisurely enough!) down the scenic Suwannee River stopping many times along the way to swim\, rope swing\, eat\, and have fun. After arriving late afternoon at the Holton Creek River Camp\, the FIRST 40 PEOPLE registered set up camp in one of the screened-in enclosures and any others will need to bring their own tent. We’ll all cook out together under a pavilion with a large charcoal grill (charcoal will be provided but food will not). Sunday morning we’ll continue paddling & floating for about 2-3 hours to the take out point at Gibson County Park where you will be transported back to your cars at the Canoe Outpost. \nThe first 40 people registered get a spot in one of the raised\, screened-in enclosures that have electric and ceiling fans. There are clean\, air-conditioned bathrooms with showers available at Holton. Usually we have the entire camp to ourselves. Bring your own food and drinks for lunch\, dinner\, and breakfast Sunday. Bring your own sleeping bag and air mattress and make sure all your stuff is enclosed in dry boxes. It will get wet either from rain or from being in a canoe.
